Lightship No. 84, also known as the St. Johns Lightship, was built in 1907 and sailed for 58 years, when it was decommisioned. Lightships were the equivalent of lighthouses at sea. For most of its life, Lightship No. 84 served off Brunswick, Georgia, and at the mouth of the St. Johns River in Jacksonville, Florida. How it got to Red Hook, specifically the dock of the now bankrupt Revere Sugar plant is a convoluted story. I've been staring at that manequin every weekend for the past month or so. I find it so freaky looking.

Does it have the same wig every weekend? I was tempted to buy it, the mannequin, if only for the experience of having people look at me carrying it back home.
