Yesterday was Mr. Met's birthday! It was 41 years ago yesterday that Mr. Met made his debut at Shea Stadium. In honor of that anniversary, and to celebrate the start of another season at Shea, Mr. Met made cupcakes.
Mr. Met loves cupcakes so much he was interviewed about them at cupcakestakethecake.blogspot.com earlier in the week.

I'm surprised Mr. Met isn't diabetic by now!

Him and me both! You would not believe how much leftover orange and blue frosting I have.

I'like Mr. Met :-)
Congratulation for your new design.

Mr. Met--is there a Mrs. Met? Or any little metropolitans?

Mr. Met is loved the world over! Danke!
No Mrs. Met or little metropolitans (suburbs?) yet, but that doesn't mean he hasn't been looking. I went to the Mets clubhouse store on 42nd St. last week. They didn't have much in the way of Mr. Met memorabilia.
