The seating area of a coffee shop in downtown Cambridge, Ohio. As I sat in the vast, empty space enjoying a chai and writing postcards I wondered how many customers per hour a place this large would need to survive in New York. From what I could figure out retail rents in Cambridge are 5-20 percent of that charged here in Harlem, which is one of the cheaper neighborhoods in the city.
I amtrying to imagine where this is downtown, and can't. Looks like a nice enough (nice and quiet!) place. I like Cambridge.

Cambridge seemed pleasant enough. I couldn't find a local place to eat so I had to settle for the Bob Evans next to the Motel 6.
The coffeehouse is on Wheeling Ave a couple blocks west of the courthouse. It is a huge space that has been subdivided, which now makes me wonder if this was formerly a Woolworth's.
