The normal thirty-five minute commute home turned into a three-and-a-half hour endurance test this evening. At least the view as the bus drove down to the Lincoln Tunnel was nice. The picture above was not part of the view.
On my way up to Vermont a couple of weeks ago I stopped to stretch my legs at the parking area overlooking Livingston Manor. After reading the informative sign, I noticed the names scratched into the sign post.
It was a bit humid yesterday, but otherwise a great day for a bike ride. I rode to Red Hook and back, cheating a bit by taking the uptown train from 14th St. to 116th. Along the way I saw lots of interesting art and ate many delicious baked goods.
