While I was out on Sunday afternoon I saw these flowers, the first I've seen blooming in New York this spring, in Sakura Park. Sakura Park is across the street from the General Grant National Memorial (aka Grant's Tomb). If you are in New York and didn't appreciate the big snowflakes that fell today, maybe you will like the flowers. Wish I could say that I did some clever photographic trick to get them to look so nice, but I just closed the aperture, pointed the camera, and clicked.
Luscious. I love the color.
