Are those the birds you see swimming about with just their heads above water, that then dive and don't surface for a long time?


That's them!


When we still lived in NY, I saw this turkey in Fort Tryon Park, on the edge of the Hudson Pkwy as we were driving to the Bronx once. It took a lot of arguing to convince my husband that I'd really seen a turkey. I was really happy when you posted that initial photo of the turkey. Proof!

But damn, does that girl get around! How come no one has seen her flying or walking on the streets between the parks.

Unless there is more than one female Wild Turkey...
