Construction on the Kalahari Building across the street continues. There's been a lot of action since I last reported, even though it doesn't look like much has happened. The site has been entirely excavated and I think a couple of test holes were drilled. Most importantly, a pile driver has been driving piles into the soil for the past several weeks. They start early in the morning pound away much of the day. When they're pounding my entire building bounces and shakes. Fun! When you're trying to sleep late on a day off it's not so fun. Lucky for me there's no more holidays until Memorial Day.
By the way, in a bit of timeliness the public housing buildings just across 115th street are the Martin Luther King, Jr. Towers.
