Madison Avenue Bridge
Third Avenue Bridge
Willis Avenue Bridge
Willis Avenue Bridge. The span on the right swings to let ship traffic through.
I saw on Gothamist a couple of weeks ago that the city is selling the Willis Avenue Bridge for a dollar. With that thought in the back of my mind I decided to take a few photographs while on a walk in the neighborhood. Too bad I took pictures of the Madison and Third Avenue bridges. That's really sad because I've driven over them, rode my bike over them, and walked over each of them and still got them confused. Thus, I had to go back this weekend and take pictures of the Willis Avenue Bridge. (Secret aside: At least I didn't mistake the San Remo Apartments for the Dakota).
Oops, now fixed!

Your pictures are gorgeous! Any word on if the bridge has sold?

Thanks! The light was just right that afternoon.
I haven't heard if the bridge has been sold. I can't imagine there's much of a market.
