Red Squirrel, Gray Squirrel, One Squirrel

Is this squirrel molting from a red winter coat into a summer gray?   Or could this be a juvenile molting into adult fur?  O could the food it finds in Union Square not be the healthiest?

Right after I took these pictures my camera died.  The display went all white and the lens wouldn't retract when I turned the camera off (nor extend when I tried to turn the camera on).  This is the same problem I had a few months ago.  I thought I had narrowed that problem down to a bad battery. 

That was Friday.  I didn't take pictures on Saturday.  On Sunday and Monday the camera worked perfectly as I took nearly a hundred photos without a problem.

According to Flickr's statistics, I was only one of 88 users to upload a photo taken by the S70 yesterday and the popularity of the camera has been dropping all year.

Unrelated:  Look at what I adopted during the recent WFMU marathon!  The caption is incorrect.  The Big Well is my favorite place to visit whenever I'm in south-central Kansas.  I've not yet eaten while in Greensburg.
