If you go to San Francisco you have to take pictures of the cable cars, right? I rode the cable car a couple of times because the end of the California Street line was near one hotel I stayed at. It was a convenient, though not necessarily quick, way to get downtown.
The green trolley is one of the popular trolleys on the F-line that runs along Market Street. The trolley is an art deco design from the 1940s. The cars of this type were originally used in San Francisco and Philadelphia and were brought back into regular service in San Francisco a dozen years ago.
The colors of the cars match the colors used by other transit systems around the world. Car 1053 above was put into service in Philadelphia in 1946, but is painted green and silver to match the color scheme used in Brooklyn. The last Brooklyn trolley ran in 1956. One year later the Brooklyn Dodgers, a team named for fans who had to dodge trolleys, moved to Los Angeles.
I used to pay a nickel to ride the trolley to school when I was a kid in the 70s. Then the price went up to 15 cents!

The trolley is $1.50 now. The cable cars are $5.
