I'll take a rainbow sorbet any day. P.S. That's the first time I've ever said sorbet, as it's mostly called sherbet here (or as some say, sherbert). P.P.S. I'll miss Bat Boy.

I've been reading a really good book about ice cream lately. One thing I learned is that sorbet and sherbet are often used interchangably, but they are technically different things. Sherbets contain some milk or egg while sorbets are just fruit, sugar and water.

The gourmet ice cream places here in NYC all have sorbet. Few have sherbet or call their sherbet's sorbets.
