I wasn't too far from my upstate destination a couple of weeks ago when I realized I had forgotten to bring a tie. I needed a tie as I was going to a wedding the next day. The nearest store that might have a tie was a brand new Target. Ties are not Target's strong point. On to the mall!
Macy's has plenty of ties, all perpetually on-sale at 40% off the retail price. I selected the green one at the bottom of the tie circle. Shopping at a Macy's in the suburbs of Syracuse is much different than shopping at the big Macy's on Herald Square. When I bought the tie I was the only shopper in the menswear department. The three-foot high mound of tried-on but not bought clothes waiting to be returned to the shelves was missing as well.
Those are all the ties I own minus one. I only wear ties about five times a year so I should toss a bunch of these, but they don't take up much space. The missing tie is a solid navy cotton tie that was apparently used as a splash guard the last time it was worn.
Lovin' that fish tie!

Very nice arrangement. I like the blues.
Macy's took over Famous Barr in our mall a couple years ago. I haven't been inside the mall, though, since my girls were old enough to be dropped off at the door.
