What is the MTA trying to communicate here? This sign was at 110th Street today (Sunday). There were similar signs last Saturday at 116th and 145th Streets. The first problem is that the B train doesn't run on weekends as a matter of course. How then, does a non-existent train go out of service early? Also, how does shutting down the service "ensure that trains continue to operate safely"?
AHAHA! Don't you just love the MTA? I found your blog instead of finding the answer to my question if the trains are running today! All this snow has rumors going around that trains aren't running. I really don't enjoy my tax dollars and $2.75 a trip.... going in pockets of people who think they're doing me a favor. We pay for the service, where the hell is the service!????
