A couple of weeks ago I mentioned that Settepani had closed. That post got picked up by Eater and Grub Street where readers said that the bakery was only closed for renovations and would be open by the end of the month.
I walked by a couple days later and saw the "temporarily closed" sign on the door behind the grates. In the several times I've been by since I've yet to see any sign of renovation in progress. The only change has been that the outside lights have been turned off. Anybody know what's going on?
I heard from a good source that they truly are under renovations & will be opening again soon.
Also wanted to Thank You for thinking my site a 'treat'

I walked by yesterday and it didn't look like any work had yet started. Only time will tell!
Yes, your watercolors are quite lovely.

Don't worry Joe. The work will take 1-2 months.
and look for my work to go up on the walls of Native (118th St/Lenox)
