Proving that miracles do occur, the traffic circle at 110th and Frederick Douglass Blvd opened last week, five years after its original completion date. The circle is not completed -the fountains weren't turned on- but at least the sculpture has been unwrapped, barriers have been removed, and people can visit.
The sculpture of Douglass is quite wonderful. As is the long constellations that ends with the North Star. Skateboarders, bicyclists, the curious and the passers-by who want a place to sit have already found the circle to their liking.
very cool!

Before they put these buildings up it was all auto garage, and auto repair. There was a A.Strauss

To correct my previous post, it was R.S Strauss, "not" A.Strauss. They sold everything for the
automobile.
