Auburn seemed to be a pleasant little town. My impression should be taken with a grain of salt as I walked around downtown for all of fifteen minutes. That was enough sun for me. I liked the bridal registry in the window. I saw that a couple more times later in Iowa. The happy couple are probably on their honeymoon right now. Good luck, kids!
What do you think the story is with the fantastic Time Warner Cable building? What was the original business?
Note to Time Warner Cable: Did you really have to cover up the interesting porthole windows with your ugly sign? Couldn't you have made the most minimal of efforts to come up with a more aesthetically pleasing advertisement? Hint: check out the blank, covered-up, ground floor window. I know, I know, it's vertical not horizontal, but do you really think your customers won't find the office if your sign were painted in that non-standard location? There are only 1500 households in Auburn. I'm sure someone in each of those households could find you should the need arise.
Next up: A second-rate, yet still awesome, attraction in Kansas.
Curious about the bridal registry... Wonder if that is Megan Cade and Joy Herr? That was my first read, which shocked me, you know, Nebraska and all. Or is it Megan Joy and Cade Herr?
Looking forward to the second-rate, yet still awesome, attraction in Kansas.

I've got to write about something else tonight, but this old post is a clue as to the attraction.
