The world's largest concrete garden gnome (warning: link has a picture of a partially beheaded gnome) stands in silent vigil in the Rieman Gardens on the campus of Iowa State University in Ames. The gnome is a little over 15 feet high, which is taller than the Catskills-dwelling previous record holder. There are rumors of a 17-foot high fiberglass gnome somewhere in Poland.
We love the Wil Huygen and Rien Poortvliet books about gnomes.

Are there 15-foot tall gnomes in the books?
