Coupeville is a nice little village on Whidbey Island. I ate breakfast at that building at the end of the pier. Apparently the pier is a good place to see orcas, but it was the wrong time of the year while I was there.
The enormous bear claws were at a bakery in town. I was tempted but decided on a slice of marionberry pie instead, thinking I would get a local delicacy. Later I learned that marionberry is not some exotic berry that only grows in the Pacific Northwest but the most common blackberry cultivar.
I read "...it is a good place to see okras." lol
