I love this ad!  Twenty percent over face value for wheat pennies is a great deal.  Twenty percent!  What's the face value of a wheat penny?  If I'm reading what's stamped on the pennies above correctly it's one cent.  You could sell those thousand wheat pennies that you've been stashing away in a jar for the past few decades and make two dollars!

The Elaborate Pipe Structure of Nebraska City

This mysterious pipe thing is in Nebraska City.  What is its purpose?  The only guess I can come up with is that it was once used to pump water into fire trucks.

Nebraska City is the home of Arbor Day!  I guess the downtown is cute but it didn't do much for me.  Maybe I was just hungry and knew I had to travel on down the road to get lunch.

Quilted Northern Shrinkage

The new rolls of Quilted Northern toilet paper is a half-inch skinnier than the old rolls.  This is outrageous!

Long Sheet

One of the beds in my room at a Red Roof Inn last week was made up in this unusual fashion.  I was worried I had been short-sheeted but that wasn't the case.  Where does one get sheets that are three feet longer than normal sheets?  Why was only one bed made like this?
