The Queens Museum of Art is the home of the Panorama of the City of New York, an accurate scale-model of the city that was commissioned for the 1964 World's Fair. The panorama fills a large room. At the World's Fair you could take a simulated helicopter ride around the panorama to experience it from different viewpoints. Today you can walk around it taking the same flight path. The panorama was last updated about ten years ago. Where my building stands today was a vacant lot back then.
