was up in good segong(?) and
Libby & Sarah and I wer
down to the Station 1 hour
before the train came we
got in Ogdensburgh about
noon went to the Hotell and
took diner & then went across the bridge
and bought some cloths
(Ogdensburg is about 70 miles north of Boylston, on the St. Lawrence River. I assume "across the bridge" means going to Prescott, Ontario)
In 1864 there wasn't a bridge to prescot. The phrase "we
got in Ogdensburgh about
noon went to the Hotell and
took diner & then went across the bridge
and bought some cloths" means They arrived in ogdensburgh then got a hotel room close to the rail station, afterwards they crossed the bridge over the Oswegatchie river and bought cloths in downtown Ogdensburgh.
