I went down to Aunt
Liyaes. Bidy got tiered
on t walking home
(Not sure who Aunt Liyaes is. The handwriting is clear enough, though her name could be Lizaes , which could possibly be Lizzie. That's a guess on my part. Vincent's aunts on his father's side were Mary and Rachel. He also had three uncles, Charles, Abraham and Francis, that survived to adulthood. However, Vincent's father, Cornelius, moved from the Mohawk Valley to the Boylston area. I don't know if any of the father's brothers would have lived nearby.)

(no entry)
(Vincent and Elizabeth had four boys and two girls. From left to right the boys are Charles Vincent (b. 1870), my great-grandfather John Edwin (b. 1867), William Harrison (b. 1873), and C. Oliver (b. 1865). It was during this furlough that Oliver was conceived!)
